Health Care
My focus remains on improving health care in North Dakota by expanding access, particularly in rural areas. That includes strengthening rural clinic and hospital access and facilities, increasing the availability of mobile medical units, and supporting incentives to attract and retain health care professionals in underserved regions. I’ve supported telehealth legislation, worked to streamline care for veterans through initiatives like Veterans Care Coordination, and secured funding for biomedical research and early childhood health services. I’ve also supported initiatives to improve health care access for Native American veterans and communities, including efforts to modernize and expand Indian Health Service facilities.
We continue working to provide high quality, affordable health care, by taking a patient-centered approach that increases competition and choice to lower costs, including reducing prescription drug prices. This also means enhancing price transparency, cutting red tape for providers, and driving innovation in health care delivery, ensuring that every North Dakotan has access to the care they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
